Ghazi Abualsaud spearheads Wellbred’s strategy, customer acquisition, and expansion, steering the company into new sectors and regions. He has been pivotal in driving the rapid growth of the trading company over the past few years and continues to lead its expansion into new sectors.
With over two decades of experience in the oil and gas trading sector prior to joining Wellbred, he worked on the Saudi Aramco sales team for 14 years, was a fuel oil trading manager at Trafigura for three years, and was the Managing Director for Mercuria Energy Trading in the Middle East for eight years.
Mr. Abualsaud holds a Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Automation, and Control from King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals in Saudi Arabia.

Simon Lausch leads Wellbred’s strategic leadership team, driving growth and opportunity while overseeing operations in Europe and Africa. He brings over 30 years of experience in the physical oil and derivatives markets, including 15 years as a derivatives risk manager. Prior to joining Wellbred, he held multiple leadership roles with the Vitol Group of Companies, working in London, Geneva, and Buenos Aires.
Mr. Lausch holds a B.A. Hons. Degree in Economics and International Trade from the University of Portsmouth.
Managing Director, Singapore
Tony Lin plays a key role in driving Wellbred’s growth. He is an oil industry veteran with over two decades of experience since graduating from Peking University with a degree in economics. He has worked with Vitol Asia in both Singapore and China, starting as a trading analyst, and eventually becoming the Head of the Vitol Beijing office. After moving back from China, he took on the role of Crude Trading Manager at Vitol Asia Pte Ltd in Singapore. He also helped to establish both crude and fuel oil team in Singapore local oil trading company ZenRock and was later work as head of Oil and Gas in Wuchan Zhongda Utech Singapore.
Mr. Lin holds a Master’s in Business Administration from China Europe International Business School in Shanghai.
Managing Director, Saudi Arabia
Nasser D. Al-Mahasher brings nearly four decades of experience to drive new growth opportunities for Wellbred. He began his career at Saudi Aramco in 1990, where he spent nearly two decades. He has served as the head of Saudi Petroleum, CEO of S-Oil, and President & CEO of Petro Rabigh.
Mr. Al-Mahasher has been an adjunct professor of Chemical & Biological Engineering at Seoul National University in South Korea since 2015.

Ramon Carrasco heads the Business Development and ESG functions at Wellbred. He began his career as a Fuel Oil and Feedstock Manager and was later appointed CEO of LIA Oil, SA, in 2003. He then became the Managing Director of Cadoil Trading SA in 2013 and MD of KAMCA Trading SA in 2018. He brings over 30 years of experience, primarily in the international commodities industry.

With a rich background in refining, trading, and company development spanning three decades, Rajesh Matai heads Trading at Wellbred. His experience includes 12 years with Reliance Industries and 12 years with Glencore on East of Suez Lights ends, where he worked from their Singapore and Dubai offices. He joined the Wellbred team in February 2020.
Mr. Matai holds a degree in Petrochemical Engineering from MIT Pune and completed a management program at the Indian Institute of Management, Bengaluru.

Harivel Prabu oversees Operations at Wellbred. Prior to joining Wellbred in 2020, he held senior positions in the industry at Petrobras Singapore and GP Global Group. He brings 18 years of industry experience.
Mr. Prabu holds a Master’s degree in Logistics and Supply Chain from the National University of Dublin.

Elham Barshovi has taken charge of HR at Wellbred since 2023. She is a highly talented and highly trained Human Resources expert with a wide portfolio of experience. Before Wellbred, she was at Mercuria as their HR Head. She had worked with SOCAR Trading before that. Other organisations that benefited from her expertise include E.ON SE, Givaudan, ADP Suisse and Beckman Coulter among others.
Ms. Barshovi has passed out of the Ecole Supérieur de Commerce with Finance as her specialisation and about three decades of industry experience.
Director, La Nivernaise de Raffinage SAS
With over two decades of expertise in the biodiesel and chemical industries, Bruno Delavenne leads La Nivernaise de Raffinage SAS as Director. His career includes 18 years dedicated to biofuels, with roles in waste collection, biodiesel plant construction, and commercial and political development. Before joining La Nivernaise, he worked with Collectoil, Véolia, and PremEster, gaining extensive experience across these sectors.
Mr. Delavenne graduated from the Ecole Nationale de Lyon with a degree in Chemical Engineering, specializing in environmental technology.

With over 20 years of experience in finance, Stéphanie Joly is a highly skilled professional known for her expertise across various industries, including biodiesel production, mass distribution, and oil logistics. Before her current role, she held key financial leadership positions at PREMESTER, TECH. ENV. NIEVRE, and ECOPREM. She also worked in sectors like chemical and pharmaceutical industries during her career.
Ms. Joly holds a degree in finance and accounting.
